Registered in May 1971, the Tanalur Service Co-operative Bank began its operations in July 1971.
The bank’s first establishment was located in Tanallur market. Later, the bank was shifted to Vattathani, after getting the land owned by Pathaykkara Mana, situated in Vattathani.
Since 01.04.2019, the bank has been operating under the Class 1 Special Grade classification, with an Audit Classification of "B".
As a result of precision, long-term vision, and operational efficiency, the bank achieved remarkable performance in the 2023–2024 financial year. It recorded significant progress in both deposit mobilization and loan distribution during this period.
